First, it seems suspect to claim that the way one defends Freedom of Association is to disband an association.

Second, while Liberty may be a private university, it does receive public assistance.

Third, you claim that abortion is the reason for this action, yet the Liberty University Young Democrats state in their charter that they are a "pro-life" organization.

The day after an act of domestic terrorism, claimed as justifiable homicide by a "pro-life" activist, is not the best one to attempt to assert your superior morality and value of life.

I worked for Matt Staver as an intern at his constitutional law firm, Liberty Counsel. I know this is about freedom, but not as you have portrayed it. This is just the national dems, by proxy, attempting to impose a stealth form of the Fairness Doctrine, wherein we who believe abortion, as one example, to be a heinous wrong, would be coerced to surrender both our name and our financial resources in support of this great evil. Please understand that as long as Liberty is still under the leadership of people who believe in Freedom of Association under the Constitution, who believe that the Free Exercise clause entails the right to control the spending of private money in quest of political outcomes, who believe that the good name of Liberty must be applied equally to the helpless unborn as well as the relatively well off young people who attend Liberty, there will be no retreat from this principled position.
