This is a great letter and I understand the reason that some on the council might want the Change Commission to look at Saturday caucuses, however find it to be tricky. Many people are pushing to move more voting to Saturday as it will make it more likely that working men and women will be able to take part. I would encourage the commission to look at the entire idea of caucuses and how they are used in our system, if they bring more people into the process (or not as I think), and if a primary is the best option for all.
