The Rodney Glassman campaign is building the grassroots power to elect a U.S. Senator who will put Arizona first. Arizona is a diverse and dynamic state, and we are building an empowered organization that is dedicated to creating game-changing results in 2010.

A Field Organizer (FO) will be responsible for successfully executing the field program in their region. This includes recruiting and training volunteers, managing political relationships, holding organizational meetings, house parties, and soliciting donations when necessary.


  • At least 1 cycle campaign experience or 2 years related experience (non-profit, government, or consulting firm).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Voter Activation Network (VAN) experience preferred.

  • Have the desire and demonstrated ability to exceed expectations.
  • Have the ability to communicate with diverse communities and leaders. Bilingual Spanish skills a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteer leaders to meet or exceed established field goals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local Democratic and like-minded organizations and coalition groups.
  • Represent the Glassman campaign with professionalism, & enthusiasm.
  • Provide daily reports, including volunteer recruitment and voter contacts.
  • Schedule, prepare, and execute outreach presentations at local schools, colleges, universities, Democratic clubs and other community meetings to recruit volunteers.
  • Maintain lists of canvass staging locations, phone banks, and special event locations.
  • Prepare call lists, including scripts, instructions and other important documents.
