A group of students at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN have been staging a sit-in of administration buildings in protest of the college’s relationship with Wells Fargo.

The sit-in started on April 23 and the students are pledging to remain until the college switches to a different banking institution. Via KSTP:

The student campaign is linked to Occupy Homes MN’s efforts to mobilize homeowners to defend homes from foreclosure by big banks like Wells Fargo. The students are also members of Minnesotans for a Fair Economy, a coalition that brings together faith, labor, and community groups who recognize that big banks stand in the way of every Minnesotan’s future.

According to the group’s Facebook page, the college president has agreed to meet with the students tomorrow:

Just 2 days ago the Macalester administration closed the process to cut their contract with Wells Fargo, but after two days of sitting in, protesting, and blocking administrators from entering Weyerhaeuser, they have agreed to a meeting with the president himself on Friday at 1 PM! We hope that they will make the right decision this time. Go MAC!
